Programmes d'alimentation

> Example of a typical feed ration
1- «Forage-free» feeds
The horse is not fed hay or cereals, only its pellet feed ration and water.

e.g. For a horse weighing 500 kg, light work:
5 EFU = 8 kg of DP PLAISIR or 7 kg of DP ENERGY

DP PLAISIR or DP ENERGY should preferably be used for horses on shavings.

3- « Cereal and forage supplement» feeds

We recommend a mix comprising 2/3 rolled barley and 1/3 whole oats.

Maize may be fed in quantities of 1 kg/day as a substitute, coarsely ground, or preferably in flakes.

This cereal mix provides approximately 1 EFU and 80 g of EDNM.

e.g. For a horse weighing 500 kg, light work :
5 kg of hay, 1.7 kg of cereal mix and 1 kg of DP PROTEINE

2- « Forage supplement» feeds
Alfalfa hay varies in quality and should be used with caution.

The presence of chlorides induces sodium loss, and the potentially excessive nitrogen content in the feed ration results in loss of condition.

We recommend using good quality grass hay, which is particularly beneficial in providing essential fibre.

Based on a standard value for meadow hay : 0.5 EFU and 50 g EDNM
and 1 kg of hay per 100 kg body weight.

e.g. For a horse weighing 500 kg, light work :
5 kg of hay with 3.5 kg of DP EVASION or 3.1 kg of DP PUISSANCE or 3 kg of DP CHALLENGE
